The area of the Urola Valley and its surroundings offer an excellent testimony of the Basque cultural heritage.

Hermitage of la Antigua (Zumárraga- 3 Km.). It is considered to be the Cathedral of the Basque Hermitages.

Basilica of Loyola (Azpeitia- 15 km.). Located next to the Tower-House of the Loyola family, birthplace of Saint Ignatius.
Architecture dating to the 17th/18th centuries.

Shrine of Arantzazu (Oñati- 25 km.). Brilliant example of
contemporary Basque art, devoted to the virgin of Arantzazu.

University Sancti Spiritus (Oñati- 18 km.). First University of
the Basque country (dated 1540, renacentist style.

Igartubeiti Farmhouse (Ezkio-Itsaso- 7 km.). Farmhouse
testimony of the wood architecture from the XVI century.

Legazpi's Tower House (Zumárraga- 1 km.). Birthplace of Miguel López de Legazpi, who was the colonizer of the Philippines and founder of de Manila.
